Michelle is an attorney licensed in Ecuador and currently serves as a Senior Paralegal with the Law Office of Mike Arnold, where she supports complex criminal and family law cases in the United States. Working remotely from Ecuador, she brings a distinctive international perspective, blending legal precision with strategic case management and cross-border collaboration.
Michelle’s legal journey began at Universidad San Francisco de Quito, where she completed her pre-professional training and discovered her passion for helping clients navigate challenging legal issues. After earning her law degree and bar admission, she began her career at a family law firm, handling her first trial just one day after receiving her license, an experience that sparked her lasting commitment to litigation and client advocacy.
Her career later expanded to include work at a leading Intellectual Property firm, advising international clients, particularly in China, on brand protection, international filings, and regulatory compliance. Under the mentorship of experienced attorneys, she honed her analytical and drafting skills, becoming known for her attention to detail and strategic insight. Michelle also contributed to public service during her tenure with Ecuador’s National Electoral Council, where she helped draft and review key national resolutions, promoting electoral transparency and integrity.
One of her professional highlights was successfully obtaining approval for industrial design registrations through Ecuador’s Intellectual Property Office in under a year, an achievement requiring persistence, follow-up, and procedural mastery. Today, she applies that same rigor and reliability in her U.S. paralegal work, ensuring every case is handled with diligence and care.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Michelle excels at bridging legal systems and fostering clear communication between diverse teams and clients.
Outside of work, she enjoys baking, attending concerts, and spending time with her dog, recharging through music, creativity, and connection.
