Bill Richey — Private Investigator

Bill’s early years were filled with teamwork and leadership—his middle school football team went undefeated, and his chess team competed in the Oregon/Washington State Championship at OMSI in Portland. After earning his high school diploma from Lane Community College, he went on to play semi-professional football for four years while working in security, retail management, and other industries.
In 1994, Bill married his childhood friend Sherrilynn, who became a loving stepmother to their son Brandon. Together they built a family rooted in faith, perseverance, and hard work. After one of his jobs was relocated offshore, Bill and Sherrilynn founded their own security company. Later, Bill earned his Oregon Private Investigator License and founded Richey Investigations, which they continue to operate today.
In 2014, Bill survived a life-threatening medical emergency thanks to his wife’s quick action, dedicated first responders, and what he calls divine intervention. He credits God for giving him a second chance at life—a moment that reshaped his purpose and deepened his faith.
Bill continues to give back through his volunteer work as a board member of Laurel Grove Cemetery and as an Assistant Council Commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America. When he isn’t working or volunteering, Bill and Sherrilynn enjoy spending time with their granddaughter, Izzy.
